Art

For me, art isn’t an escape: it’s where I face what I’d rather run from. Every brushstroke and line stares the uncomfortable in the eye and dares it to stay.

My work is messy, raw, and unapologetic. I wrestle with what unsettles me, shape it, sometimes let it win. In that struggle, I find peace, and the freedom to turn hard truths into something I can hold.

Subtext is a conversation between art and poetry, exploring the ache of memory, the weight of silence, and the quiet defiance of survival.

Each piece, whether visual or written, is an invitation to slow down and notice what lives beneath the surface. At once intimate and universal, Subtext holds space for vulnerability, reflection, and the complex simplicity of being human.

Tension Lines

It’s about the tension between control and surrender, and how much of ourselves we give away when someone else holds the power to change us.

Barefaced

I drew these skulls to embrace the unsettling. There’s honesty in anatomy, no pretenses, no disguises, jusy the raw structure we all share beneath everything else.

Imprints

The folds of the brain are made of everyone I’ve met, because, as Jim Morrison once said, “I am a mosaic of everyone I’ve ever loved.” Every interaction, every memory, leaves an imprint, shaping the person I’ve become.

First Light

This painting captures the quiet hope of beginnings, the way light slowly breaks through darkness. It’s a small reminder that every day carries the promise of starting over.

Subtext is a quiet, powerful conversation between art and poetry, between what is said and what is truly meant.
